Josh Miles & The Sweet Somethings
Josh Miles and the Sweet Somethings is an eclectic soul outfit that draws largely from Soul, Funk, Jazz, Blues, as well as Pop. The band is comprised of South Florida based musicians Michael Perry (Guitar), Jason Stander (Drums), Lorenzo Lindo (Bass), Virgil Price (Keyboards/piano), and Josh Miles (Vocals, Guitar). Founder and lead singer Josh Miles was raised in Dallas, Texas by two Baptist ministers. He grew up with quite the eclectic musical background including Bill Gaither, Marvin Gaye, John Legend, Bob Marley, Ottis Redding, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Louis Armstrong, among many others. After attending The University of Mobile in Mobile, Alabama on a musical scholarship for vocal performance, Josh returned to South Florida, where he had attended high school and his journey as a singer began. He then began experimenting with blues, soul, jazz, and songwriting before eventually beginning Josh Miles and the sweet somethings. Currently performing all over South Florida, Josh Miles and The Sweet Somethings are working on their first EP, sol village.

No End of Now
_ We may not always be able to live a life without limits—but an explosive new Tampa based jazz/rock power trio is showing us the endless possibilities of how to embrace today, this very moment, like there’s No End of Now.
That provocative moniker perfectly reflects the free flowing, wild musical, groove and sonically expansive conversations that drive Rex Shepherd (guitars), John Tschirhart (bass) and Jason Stander (drums). Together, they create a hard to peg, alternately infectious and trippy, hypnotic vibe that expands and revolutionizes the many genres they draw from—starting with jazz, rock, funk, blues and world music. It’s an ever-evolving aesthetic they share on their new full length recording Some Music We Made, recorded live in two days at Clear Track Studios in Clearwater, Florida.
With this “live in the present” philosophy, where every musical notion is an open door to a new way to think about rock and jazz, the three principals of No End of Now are open to letting their growing legion of fans define the live and recorded experience. Some dub No End of Now as “hippie Jazz,” others as “psychedelic fusion.” Shepherd’sfavorite comparison came from a guy in a bar where they were playing one night: “Robin Trower meets Miles Davis,” a spot on observation considering that Shepherd’s guitar influences range from Trower and Hendrix on the classic rock side to jazz greats Jim Hall and Bill Frisell. Still others get drawn in beyond the point of no return and are left almost speechless, save for “What the hell was that? That was cool.” With titles like “Meditation on the Occasional Uselessness of a Guitar Pick,” “Lunch With The Departed” and “Soy Mash,” that’s pretty much
the norm.

Worldwide Zoo
Worldwide Zoo pushes the boundaries of their craft, performance after performance, constantly finding fresh and appealing ways to speak to their fans. Very few instrumental groups have been able to channel so much musical variety into one definable sound and style that feels this good. Keyboardist Mike Zabrek, bassist Santiago Rodriguez, and drummer Jason Stander work together freely with almost telepathic precision and child-like imagination as they groove, swing, sizzle, and jive their way into your mind and soul.
"This trio has developed a musical bond, which allows them to effortlessly improvise during their live performances"
_Lagniappe Magazine - Mobile, AL
"Attention-grabbing, jazzy-funky and eclectic as all get out, Worldwide Zoo doesn't cage up its creative beasts, it loads 'em up on a party-cruise ark and floats them ingeniously into your psyche."

Fedora Jazz Trio

The Junkyard Kings
Formed in 2007 by Rob Osenton and Patrick Whitmarsh(guitars) featuring Joseph Remy on bass, Tim on keys, and Jason on drums.
Jazz Artet
Not enough could be said about the impact playing in this band had on Jason. He attended a jazz jam session hosted by the immortal Don Capone. Shaheed Darby was also at that jam session and took an interest in Jason's touch on the drums. Brother Darby invited him to attend the Marti-Maceo Hall jazz gathering and play with the house band. The atmosphere was one of true old school musicianship! There was trust, love, and even forgiveness in the playing. This helped Jason understand the "in it together till the end" vibe that is missing in so many groups these days. Many lessons were learned and many friends were made.
Featuring Jason on drums, Bill Bennet(RIP) on upright bass, Shaheed Darby(RIP) on trumpet, Chico Arenas on trombone, Charlie on the guitar, and Herb Carr(RIP) on piano.
